How to Delete Instagram Permanently (Using PC/Mac)|| Delete Instagram Account instantly
1. Open up your terminal/command prompt and type “cd~/” which should take you into your home directory. I am running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3, so my user directory is most likely going to be called “Stuart” but it may differ for you!
2. Now we need to find out the name of the app that Instagram is installed under (for us this will be ‘iTunes’). Run into another terminal window and type: “ls -lash /Applications/” without quotes and see what shows up in there! We can now cd into whatever directory comes up as an app in here (which should actually be iTunes).
3. Please note that depending on how many apps you have this process may take a while! Type: “cd This should take you into the directory of the iTunes app (which is your Instagram).
4. You can then type: “ls” to find out what files are in there and delete whatever you wish! Simple as that, now you no longer have an Instagram icon on your desktop 😀 *also remember when deleting these apps you need to ALWAYS make sure they are not running, otherwise, it will cause issues with various other things.*
Hope this helps. Feel free to tweet me at @stuartpilkington with any questions about this! 🙂
